My Favorite Dance Practice Outfits

One of the millions of reasons I’m obsessed with Kpop is the fashion. Even when they’re practicing, the outfits rival stage ensembles. So, today I’m sharing  5 of my favorite dance practice outfits. Please keep in mind that these are in no particular order and there’s certainly many more than five, but we’d be here all night if I went through all of them. Also, appreciate my screenshotting skills because I tried hard for you guys.

Jungkook – 뱁새 (Baepsae/Silver Spoon)

Perfection in fabric, that’s what this outfit is. The cut of the jeans is quite unexpected in a world of skinny jeans. The white button down riffs on that classic work-wear silhouette but looks breezier. And JK’s beloved Timbs truly pull together the look.

Minghao (The8) – Crazy in Love

I’m not always a fan of extremely long t-shirts like this one, but Minghao makes it work. The proportions are balanced because of his fitted joggers, and while I’m not a huge fan of his socks being pulled up so far, it does keep the look more streamlined. Unfortunately, I can’t for the life of me, find this shirt. I’m in love with the way it looks and wanted to see the smaller print of what it says. So, if you happen to find some details, let me know in the comments!

Lucas – Boss

I almost did TY’s outfit from Boss, and while it is sensational, Lucas’ outfit really draws me. It’s simple: a white long-sleeve, black jeans, gold chain, and Adidas, but it’s styled so expertly. The top is tucked into the jeans and the jeans are belted, the gold chain is an excellent touch and the shoes tie in the sleek black and white color palette.

Sehun – The Eve

Again, while simple, this outfit makes a big impact. The wash of the jeans are that perfect medium denim and offer nice contrast to the black hat, tee, and shoes.

Jin – Blood Sweat & Tears

Black on black looks *NCT plays in the background* are a staple in dance practices but Jin brings it to another level. Although it’s a button-down, the shirt doesn’t have a stiff quality, but rather hangs perfectly relaxed. Because this look is so sleek, I appreciate the minimalism of the one hole in the black jeans. Also, it looks like his shoes are suede, which brings in an unexpected texture. This outfit contrasts amazingly with Jin’s pink hair…it’s just a whole look.

Let me know what your favorite dance practice fits are!

Monsta X Beautiful Inspired Outfit

Does anyone else have that one song/video that means so much to you? I mean the one that lowkey makes you teary because it was the start of something that changed your life? …oh, that’s just me, ok cool.

Anyway, I know that was super dramatic but that’s truly how I feel about Monsta X’s Beautiful. I can definitively point to it and say: “that’s what started my obsession with Kpop.”

And of course because I think in terms of fashion, my gears were turning from the gorgeous outfits featured in the MV, live stage, and even the dance practice. Today I chose to focus on this Mnet Comeback Stage.

For this stage they go for a red, black, and gray color palette with silk shirts and blazers. It’s very sultry and luxe which I totally love. Monsta X is one of those groups that can truly rock any concept and I completely dig this one. Although it has a more mature feel than past aesthetics, they still seem confident and comfortable with this concept.

My outfit is inspired most directly by I.M’s look, but instead of a red shirt I chose a pink one which still fits into the “Valentine’s aesthetic”.

All this stuff was already in my closet because honestly, my style is very business-luxe influenced. I also like androdgynous and menswear inspired looks so this was a perfect fit.

I had a lot of fun taking these photos, I basically just did the choreography and had too much fun 😉

On Sundays We Slay ~OOTD

We’ve been having winter weather in Nashville lately, which is fabulous for me since I just got a bunch of winter clothes from Goodwill. Almost all of the items in the outfit I wore to church today are from thrift stores.

Shirt ~J Crew via Goodwill | Skirt ~H&M via Goodwill | Coat ~Old Navy via gift | Boots ~Goodwill | Necklace ~Charming Charlie | Boot Cuffs ~Target via gift
I built the ensemble around the wool skirt and went for a preppy vibe with a crisp white button down and leather boots. I found these boots at Goodwill for only $5, they were in perfect condition but then the first day I wore them the right boot began to split. It’s not that bad so I’m still going to wear them and I thought they coordinated with my look.

This red coat I recently received from a friend and it complimented this outfit perfectly. For jewelry I chose a purple statement necklace because I love the look of statement necklaces with collared shirts and the purple is perfect with the skirt. I also brought out the pale pink in the skirt with some boot cuffs I received from Christmas a couple of years ago.

I loved this outfit and I know it will be one that I wear again.
